What is the Beyond Borders-service?
− Beyond Borders is a unique initiative aimed at addressing the challenges that psychologists with international education face in the Swedish job market.
Our aim is to create job opportunities and inclusion in the job market, as well as a clear path for internationally educated psychologists towards their licensure.
Is the Beyond Borders project only for psychologists?
− Although the primary focus is on psychologists, the Beyond Borders project is open to collaboration and support from individuals, organizations, and institutions interested in promoting inclusion and positive change for professionals with international backgrounds.
Which languages can you offer services in?
− Beyond Borders offers services in a variety of languages because we have psychologists from all corners of the world.
How do you ensure the quality of your work?
- All our consultants have received a qualified education in psychology from one of the world's universities.
- Everyone has a bachelor's and master's degree in psychology, equivalent to 5 years of practice and education.
- All our consultants have had their education verified by UHR, making their education comparable to a Swedish master's degree in psychology.
- Have received a decision from the National Board of Health and Welfare.
- All psychologists are interviewed to assess suitability and competency areas.
- All psychologists are offered supervision by doctors and psychologists.
How does Beyond Borders contribute to society?

How did the Beyond Borders project start?
− The project originated in 2015 when our founder navigated the unpredictable and arbitrary process towards Swedish licensure.
The Beyond Borders project is aware of the challenges and aims to establish a dialogue with the National Board of Health and Welfare for a more predictable and inclusive recognition process.
Can international psychologists join the Beyond Borders Project?

How can I get involved in the Beyond Borders project?

What makes you unique?
- Multilingual Team: Our consultants are proficient in at least two languages, such as Arabic, German, Turkish, Hindi, French, Spanish, Bengali, Chinese, Finnish, and Lebanese.
- Multicultural Perspective: With the backgrounds our psychologists, we contribute to a broader understanding of different cultures and nationalities.
- Academic diversity: Our psychologists bring educational experiences from different countries, introducing a level of psychological and academic diversity that is currently absent in the Swedish job market. For Psychologists
I have a degree in psychology from abroad, can I work with you?
− If you have a master's degree in psychology from a country other than Sweden, you can apply to work as a consultant with us. Here is more information on how to apply and what the process looks like: Link to page with information about "Join us"
Is this an internship?
− Currently, the assignments we receive are not classified as clinical training or internships. When you work with us as a consultant, you are matched with companies, organizations, healthcare facilities, or schools based on their specific needs.
Do I need my Swedish psychologist license to work with you?
− It is not necessary for you to have your Swedish license. However, to work with us, your education must have been assessed by UHR as equivalent to Swedish education. Learn more about the process here: [Information before application - Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR)]

Can I work with you even if I have a Swedish license?
- Yes, of course. All psychologists are welcome to work with us. However, with us, you automatically become a psychologist.
What can you offer me?
- Part of a platform that matches you with potential positions that align with your specific psychological skills and competencies.
- Become part of a network with other international psychologists living in and trying to work in Sweden.
- Take part in exciting lectures, after-work events (both digital and in-person), and workshops.
- Internal training sessions and counseling.
- Whether you have an assignment with us or not, you always have the opportunity for supervision from our licensed psychologist or our licensed doctor.
- Be part of a project that advocates for an easier pathway into the Swedish job market for international psychologists.
How do I get compensated?
– Economic compensation depends on the scope of the assignment and contracts with our clients. However, we guarantee that your compensation will always be equivalent to that of a practicing Swedish licensed psychologist. Currently, we offer hourly and project-based contracts where you can either invoice us or be employed.
Do I have to be fluent in Swedish?
– You do not need to be fluent in Swedish. Our goal is to match our psychologists with tasks where their language skills are needed.

What is the pricing structure for the services?
− Every organisation has different needs and we tailor our services so they fit your organisation in the best way possible. That being said our pricing may shift depending on the different services we provide. Contact us so we can help you with more information.
Can you tailor your services so they fit my organization's unique need?
− Absolutely! Before we match a psychologist with your organization we made a comprehensive analysis of what your organization need. We believe that there is no one size fits all. How can I hire one of your psychologists for an assignment?
− Contact us on our contact form. We will answer as soon as we can to create a plan together with you.
Which qualifications and competencies does your psychologists have?
- All our psychologists have at least a master's degree in psychology. Additionally, all our consultants have their education assessed by UHR (Swedish Council for Higher Education) as equivalent to Swedish education. Their competence is also evaluated by us during an intensive interview process.
- Our psychologists are experts in various fields of psychology, including clinical psychology, developmental psychology, organizational psychology, work psychology, social psychology, and statistics.
- They are skilled in conducting training sessions and workshops, coaching, counseling, and supervision.
